I'll preface my review by being transparent that my hair is a little soft. Dense but soft, and while i've always loved protective styles, they don't just last as long in my hair as others. However, this is just low quality twisting hair. I soaked in ACV to remove any critters or chemicals that would cause irritation and soaked in conditioner after to soften the hair back up. I did this with very little manipulation after reading reviews on the hair easily frizzing. Some of the bundles still frizzed quite a bit but i was able to use the majority of the hair for my passion twists. While twisting, the hair gets frizzy and difficult to work with but i was able to finish the style which came out very cute with the pink ombre! However after 1 night sleeping with a silk bonnet on, the hair was frizzy the next morning and became frizzier every day. I retwisted a bunch of the twists using heavy amounts of Jam after 4 days which helped with sleekness but of course hardened and weighed down the twists. Plus all that gel around your face isn't good for your skin. Those retwisted/gelled twists are also now indistinguishable from the fuzzier twists I didn't redo. It's been less than 2 weeks. Regardless of hair texture, i've never had a protective style go bad this fast. I loved the look but it's been a hassle.
