What you get in the box: Four dowels wrapped in hard-to-remove crumpled plastic. Four wood screws. The dowels are painted with abrasive paint. The packaging is ugly and bad. The wooden dowels are pre-drilled and it would be nice if the screws actually fit in the pre-drilled holes. The holes are too big. Worse, abrasive paint is VERY damaging to bird feet and cannot be sanitized. I thought, dammit, I'll just assemble this thing and wrap the perches with veterinary tape. Bad idea. The textured paint was peeling off, scattering sand all over the work area. In the bin. This material is not even suitable as kindling.
