This lock looks the same as the other lock that is sold here for $10 more so I ordered both locks to test. This lock is mostly plastic in the lock mechanism and failed when I rotated the shackle to mimic the standard attack method used by bike thieves. I heard the unmistakable snap of plastic, and then that side of the lock slammed free, no longer held by the lock. That's why it's cheaper than the other, it has half the metal. Avoid this model, go to Wally World and buy one of the surprisingly good Blackburn U-locks, they're really well made and less than $20. If you want a REALLY secure lock at half the price (under $60) of fancy Kyrpto New York locks, get the OnGuard 8112 Brute Mini U-Lock. It is very well made and the locking mechanism is very strong and reliable. Much luck.
