Great laptop docking station

I used to try more portable USB-C hubs, but I needed something more reliable for a permanent home solution. Tiergrade 16-in-1 fits really well. I switch between laptops for work and personal use, and a USB-C connection to switch between two devices makes my life so much easier. The station has 3 USB 3.0 ports and 2 USB 2.0 ports. I kept most of them busy charging peripherals and the power supply didn't stutter. I also play games that make my Macbook Pro's processor cry, and the dock was able to handle the power demands that my more portable hubs can't from overheating. My workstation is currently limited to two external monitors, one connected via DisplayPort and the other via VGA. When both monitors are docked, my Macbook Pro identifies the VGA monitor and sends out a signal that both monitors duplicate. In this case I unplug the VGA monitor and the Macbook Pro correctly recognizes the DisplayPort monitor. On the other hand, my Thinkpad running Windows recognizes both monitors and lets me adjust the settings for those monitors individually. This feature is as advertised and fits my use case well. I ran into an issue where even my Windows PC didn't recognize the DisplayPort monitor. Neither machine sends a signal to this monitor. I contacted support and they were able to respond to me in a timely manner with a simple solution. With both monitors connected to the docking station, power cycle the docking station and then reconnect it to the host computer. Went like clockwork. Turns out the fault was between the keyboard and the chair (hint: it was me, I overlooked such a simple fix). Overall, I really like the docking station. It looks elegant on my desktop and suits my use case very well. Highly recommended if you have a similar use case.
