Review on 💁 Helen of Troy 1512 0.5 Inch Barrel Brush Iron in White by Shannon Reynolds

This was my first curling brush. I liked it when I first used it. But then I got my hair done at the salon. My barber and good friend advised me to get rid of that crap (laughs, yes I know) and advised me to get a 1 inch curling iron. What a difference between day and night! not warm enough. I have fine straight hair and never use very hot settings on my hair so I figured a brush that didn't get too hot would be in order. I have to hold this brush for about 20-30 seconds or more to form a curl or wave. With a hotter curler (I have a $9 Conair curler) it takes about 5-10 seconds to form a curl/wave. It takes me less than 10 minutes to curl my hair instead of the 30 minutes it takes me to style my hair with a Helen of Troy comb. And less time in hotter curlers doesn't dry my hair out as much. After using a different curling iron and how much faster I can style my hair, this one seemed like a childish version and I threw this one away. . And that's brutal honesty for you. Bottom line: save time and frustration and buy a hot brush that actually gets hot. It's like using dial-up internet in the Wi-Fi world.
