My hair is chin length, fine not thick

I have been using these for many years but my last order - 2 of these were purchased less than 6 months ago - was very disappointing. The first one just fell apart, the screw or something holding the blue plastic end in place was unscrewed so the end wouldn't tighten, the bristles [combs?] fell out. I gave up and threw it away. The second one I've been using for about 3 weeks has been lame for a few weeks. Short circuit or something in the heating element. The light is on, but the keg is not…

hot brush? More like a warm brush

This was my first curling brush. I liked it when I first used it. But then I got my hair done at the salon. My barber and good friend advised me to get rid of that crap (laughs, yes I know) and advised me to get a 1 inch curling iron. What a difference between day and night! not warm enough. I have fine straight hair and never use very hot settings on my hair so I figured a brush that didn't get too hot would be in order. I have to hold this brush for about 20-30 seconds or more to form a curl…

We purchased (2) Helen of Troy 1514 brushes on 29th November 2017. One of them stopped working on February 19, 2018 and did not heat up in low or high mode. We had previous models that worked for years, still being heated and used until all the bristles were gone. Let's see how the second one behaves as I'm optimistic. The Revains return period expired on January 29, 2018, so we're still checking the manufacturer's warranty. I hope it will be worth it.

I LOVE this item for styling tools and utensils

I LOVE this item! After six years of daily use, it still works! Sometimes the bristles don't always hold short, fine hair well, but a very light spritz of hairspray before you start will solve this problem. An interesting feature is the square slit on the blue end of the 'cold tip' (you should look for this as it blends in with the other curved indentations on the rim) - if you rotate the tip so the slit lines up with the row of Bristles, you can push out bristles. this makes cleanup a lot…

Finally, the small curling iron

This small curling iron is perfect for SHORT hair like short pixie hair. If you have long hair, it will get tangled in it. The little barrel is just right for giving my pixie the edge it needs. I love it.

Not like before

Have ordered this iron several times over the years. Previous versions worked well for a few years, but the latest versions have very fragile "brushes" inserts, and the current one heats up slowly, reaching a medium-low temperature. (I got new brush heads and replaced the broken ones with old curlers.) Will not buy this item again.

  • Sleek design

Not worth the money

I have been using this brand for many years but each time it gets worse and worse. Unfortunately, I really wanted this to work, but it didn't work. What I dislike the most about this product is that it takes so long to heat up and actually makes my hair frizzy. The design seems really great and I was excited to try it but I have to give it at least 20 minutes to warm up enough to leave a curl that lasts all day. There are cheaper products on the market that can give me the same results 1/3 of…

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Annoyed

You will notice that the teeth in the picture look longer than the previous ones I bought but the ones sent to me have slightly shorter teeth. This straightener doesn't work as a color straightener anymore, it just creates weird curls that look awful! I curled one side of my hair with my old soft curling comb and the other side was full of clumps and bumps. This is so frustrating.
