I bought this tube to reduce the number of punctures in my rear commuter tire. I haven't owned the tube long enough to test it, but it's noticeably thicker than regular tubes, especially with tires on the other hand, it certainly makes the tube heavier than regular tubes, but I expected that. I blew an inner tube on the outside of the tire to check its consistency and it was done very well with no consistency issues. After installing it, I rode the bike to work and it rode a little rougher, but then again, the thicker tube was to blame and I expected it again. I gave it a 5 star rating not knowing how well it handles sharp objects penetrating the tire because it can take a while, but I gave it a high rating because of the consistency of the inner tube and its thickness on the side, the tire profile and the price. ; The downsides of weight and a stiffer ride were to be expected.
