Update after installation: The installation was successful. 90% of the problems were already planned during the test bench installation. I had a lot of wire, the right drills and a plan of action. I already knew which wires went where, all I had to do was drill holes and fish out the wires. It took 2 hours from entering the building to exiting the parking lot, including 30 minutes during which the customer explained how the system works. It worked like a champ! It made sense in terms of the issues some people had with it not holding up well. The rubber washer is very important to have installed. The metal plate has to give way so that the magnet pulls it towards itself when it is attracted. If they don't fit together and lie flat, the magnet won't be as strong! The consoles operated from a height of 60 feet throughout the building. The adjustable waiting time is really nice. The only thing it could have done better is a beep when you press the button to notify who you're letting in. I highly recommend that you do a dyno test prior to installation. After reading all the comments, I was making money on the stand in just a few minutes. But I would be upset if I ran to the install without first working through the issues on the stand! So now I know what works and what goes where. I also grabbed a drill bit from my big box at the store. I'm glad I checked it out, I don't carry such large parts on my truck every day. Just a couple of notes, you will need a low voltage wire to get to the exit button and possibly between the control box and the magnetic circuit. Just need a 2 wire alarm or thermostat cable. I packed some small cable connectors in a box for installation. The control box is very small and should be easy to find at home above the door. I'll come back and update after installing on the client site.
