I like clothes to fit a little loose (small waist, wide hips) so I buy a size or two up sometimes depending on the cut and fabric, which I did in this case. It fits exactly the way I wanted everywhere except the armholes; they are a little too big and I am not sure a smaller size would make any difference in that regard. The fabric is great on its own but would be clingy with a tank top underneath (for me anyway). It is perfect though under a light jacket or sweater!
