This shelf is amazing and holds things very well! Other racks typically do not have tubes on all four sides of each tier, usually just two in the front and back. But this one has four on each tier, making it pretty strong and durable, although it's also more difficult to assemble and you'll need to use some force to make it work. Instructions are included and it's nothing fancy, you just need some strength. They provide gloves and a mallet to help with assembly and make it a little easier. The rack is lightweight, compact and fits into small spaces, but is sturdy and can hold many shoes. This is a great purchase, I especially recommend it to those who live in studios or small apartments.
