I received a #16 shovel in April. It arrived in original packaging. I was very happy with the quality and weight of the shovel. Squeezing the handles to release the ice cream and cookie dough was smooth and easy for me, and I have arthritis in my hands. The spring is still in perfect condition and the blade is still flush with the bottom of the shovel. It is made of stainless steel, so it can be washed in the dishwasher. I had mine soaked in the sink after making chocolate chip cookies. After washing, rinsing and drying, it still looks shiny and new. I take good care of it and put it back in its packaging before putting it in the dish drawer for protection. I plan to buy a few smaller sizes for fruitballs and meatballs. I am happy with my purchase.
