I love this rug! I bought this to replace a giant Bake Buddy rug that was too flimsy and broke with a utility knife. My fault for cutting myself even though I was careful. This mat can! It's thick enough to be durable, but not so thick that it's difficult to store. You should be able to cut pasta dough and be able to do this (straight down instead of cutting) on an Oudisen mat. Pasta and noodle dough is difficult to knead by hand and this mat stays in place without slipping. There are small indentations on the surface to trap flour, so very little is needed. Save flour! I've been using it several times a week for several months and it's like new. Cleans up fairly easily, although 20" x 30" is awkward in the sink. Easily rolls up, wraps with velcro and stores neatly in the corner of my closet. Highly recommended!
