At this point I would rate this as a very good and economical tethering option for your dog (or ANY other pet that you may need to tether for safety). I've ONLY had it for a few months but it's survived the few times I've had to use it for stretch marks. Durability is hard to quantify YET I haven't used it longer than the past few months but at the moment it can handle 55-60lbs of gold Astrakhan which will vigorously test its range from time to time. It seems to hold up well in cold, cold, snowy weather so far, but until I see it last more than a few months I can't COMPLETELY comment on it. Otherwise, I award a total of 4 out of 5 stars!
