After a few months of perfect work, it started to fail. I have it on my bedside table. Puddles formed under the base. Finally, after several days of trying, it worked perfectly again, but only when I poured some water into the tank. Anything more than half full will cause it to malfunction and leak again, defeating the purpose of a large capacity humidifier. I contacted Revain and they sent me a replacement which I've just tried for the first time and even a brand new one doesn't work at all. There is also a round piece of white plastic with a black filter inside that comes with the product but is not mentioned or pictured in the manual. This may be the missing link, but for now I'm sick of giving them both back. I have two other brands of humidifiers at home that never fail; I'll just buy another one like this.
