This is a good set for a beginner, but you definitely get the idea.
This is a good set for a beginner, but you definitely realize that you'll need to upgrade many parts of the set soon after launch. The styrofoam base is awful, I made 3 small (3 inch) animals and one side is dented so bad it is now unusable. The needles are strong and do the job, but the fact that they come unmarked makes it pretty hard for a beginner to figure out which scissors, awl, and wooden handle are great. Finger guards are fine, but I don't use them as I find them too bulky (I also have acrylic nails so this might be biased). nice set,
