Review on πŸ”§ Enhance Your Drilling Performance with Neiko 10182A Titanium Drill Speed by Derek Cage

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I abuse this thing daily.

I repair docks for a living. When I started my business, I refused to take out a loan for tools, so my spending was limited. I have invested most of my money in high-quality cordless instruments. I also bought some cheap stuff because I knew they only had to keep me going for a few months before the money started flowing. This piece was one of the things I bought to last until I could afford something better. Surprisingly, this isn't something that's going to be replaced any time soon. I use it regularly to make 1/2" holes in 2" galvanized pipe and 1/4" steel plates. Following these simple steps I fly through the holes: 1. Drill a 1/4" "Pilot hole. 8 inch bit2. Spray the step attachment with olive oil cooking spray before I start drilling.3. Set the drill to the slowest speed and apply constant pressure.4. Spray the drill again and drill a hole roughly in the middle. (Olive oil cooking spray provides lubrication, keeps metal shavings from flying all over the place, has a higher smoke point than many other lubes, and doesn't chemically degrade and lose its lubricating properties once it hits the smoke point. Not to mention it's a lot cheaper than most quality lubricants.)

Pros
  • Industry and Science
Cons
  • Very expensive
