After the recommended 24 hour initial charge I tested the unit in my kitchen and was very impressed. Two weeks later on our next ice fishing trip it gave a clear picture and I was still very happy with the unit. After checking three different holes ten minutes apart. Then, in the fourth place, I lowered the camera into the water and turned it on. After the initialization screen, the screen turned white. only shows temperature, battery icon and direction. no picture at all. Aqua-Vu didn't answer my call for help after 8 hours so I sent it back for a refund. Adding insult to injury. I had to pay postage to send a defective item.
