It's an excellent toy to match as your child grows up. I bought it for my daughter when she was 4 months, and the key teether has helped with her sore gums as she has been teething. Now she is 7 months, the hammer with a lot of noise and music and silly faces is more attractive to her. Also, the quality is great. It's not flimsy cheap plastic. I was worried that it would fall apart or crack. That's not going to be the case.
