The main difference of this brush from the original is that the bearings at the ends are part of the plastic roller and are pressed into the plastic - there is no room for hair bearings . The original bearings are ½" in diameter and these bearings are 7/8" in diameter. The bearings themselves can be the same size, but the metal case is contained within the plastic case. The plastic tips that go into the roller brush head fit like the original - no problem. The end caps can be removed and the steel rod comes out of the roller brush. One problem is that the steel rod that goes through the roller brush is rusted. I haven't finished cleaning the rest of the vacuum and vacuum attachment, but figured it would fit. I'll brush off and oil the rust when it returns to the roller brush.
