Soft. Stays on. Great for 2B waves. I spray my hair with a little water and kind of plop my waves into this cap. Readjusting and kinda scrunching everything in there and then go to sleep. I wake up and my hair is still wavy. (albeit that needs a little fluffing). My hair has stopped being as frizzy since wearing nightcaps. Overall, no complaints or regrets.
