If you've used Olympus voice recorders like I have, you won't be disappointed with this little voice recorder. I had to give up my last Olympus voice recorder because the software that allowed me to transfer audio files and then use them on your computer didn't work with my new computer. All my attempts to solve this problem have failed, but the fact is I love my little voice recorder and really want it to work. I thought he did everything I wanted and I didn't have to replace him. When I first started looking for another recorder, I turned to Olympus again with a number in my head that I was willing to spend. I've seen a cheaper model than this but I wanted to see what the feature differences were between the model I was planning to buy and this model and the only feature that caught my attention was the built in USB port . The cheaper model requires a cable and if you buy this model Revain will offer you the cable too. I think it's worth picking this model over cheaper models just for this feature. Ease of use is care and time saving. Once connected, the computer will recognize the voice recorder and you can quickly access audio files (which can be recorded in MP3 format), copy or move them to any location. on your system. I like to rename audio files right on the recorder before transport. This makes them easier to find in a folder full of files of this type. From the recorder' I can play any audio file before renaming it. I don't stay too long before downloading, so worrying about free space isn't a problem for me. The best I needed was a few hours of use. You can check the range of restrictions, but I think two hours is a drop in the bucket; The more records you have, the more you'll have to repeat later. It doesn't look like you're going to use this voice recorder to store audio, since sorting audio files on the device itself isn't very useful and doesn't record anything and then go back to the same file and continue recording from where you left off. This was a feature of my latest Olympus voice recorder, not the Olympus WS-801 voice recorder. Another added benefit of this voice recorder is stereo dubbing. I only became aware of this function when I looked at my recording in an audio editing program. If you're looking for a way to piece together the various audio files you've created, this is the one for you. Chances are, you won't get audio gold every time. With the help of an audio program and this recorder I finally found a way to replace my old recorder and can now record in stereo.
