Bought a medium sized set. The box came and was re-taped. Inside, none of the parts were in plastic or a bag, just lying in a box, including some balls. All parts are scratched and look like they have been used. As it is for 3 and 5 year olds I ended up putting it together. I'm shocked at how weak he is. Some parts don't fit tightly and this makes it very unstable and the 5 year old who figured out what to build was frustrated at how quickly it would fall. As I look after my grandchildren all week we love having toys for them to enjoy for hours and we hoped this would be one of them. Our kids had one of these and since my daughter was 4 this set has been frustrating for adults because it falls off so easily. .The only plus is that the pieces show through, and it's interesting to watch the dark balls glow. The dim black light doesn't help much, so we just hold the beads under a lamp where they can get bright enough to glow. There are no building instructions in the included book, so it's up to you. I'll look around for another brand.
