I was delighted to receive this for Christmas. Charged right away. I have never painted on canvas with acrylic paints. Apparently, before painting, the canvas needs to be primed with plaster. Gesso closes the pores on the canvas. At this point it is ready for painting. Why the hell isn't that in the instructions?! I only know this because I saw a video on how to apply acrylic paint to canvas before. I thought I might be doing something wrong because after painting 2 large areas and a few very small spots here and there last night I ran out of paint. The only logical explanation would be if the canvas was pre-gesso primed (if that's even a thing). If you are not providing a pre-primed canvas, the instructions should state this and a tube of gesso should be included in the kit. After reading other reviews it seemed that getting more was not easy. color of a specific color. The colors are not named. Instead they are numbered. What is good. But I should be able to either buy more color #7 individually or a set of colors included in a specific set. It's almost like a secret to keep the original color scheme for an image or something like that.
