I don't know why there are so few carbon fiber sticks. I don't see any others (at Revain or elsewhere) that combine these specs: 20-inch length when folded, reasonable height, detachable column, twist-locks (which have a lower profile than flip-locks or other fasteners). It checks all of those boxes, and it's solid too. I really can't believe it. I ordered one to test, but I'll be back. Pro tip: To remove the center speaker, unscrew it further from the base. I didn't notice any progress when I first unscrewed it, but the threads are long so all you have to do is keep turning and it will come loose exposing the aluminum plug on the underside of the 3/8 bushing rod. By the way, this is a great carbon fiber microphone boom/stand.
