I already have one that I use for pepper and this is my second for salt. The only thing they could do better is the spice compartment, which has more space for the spices. You can only add so much salt/pepper until you need to refill. Update September 2, 2020: Last week it stopped working. It keeps spinning but appears to be stuck. I took out the peppercorn, put it back in and it works for 3 seconds and then stops and jams again. So I've had it for a little over a year and I'm honestly saving your money and buying a manual hand crank knowing it will always work.
