I've been using biodegradable natural fiber sponges of the same brand name for five or six years. I'm glad I found these as my regular ones are way more expensive. These are good and durable sponges, as good as the ones I've used. They are a decent size, medium hardness, odorless and odorless. I can use the rough end perfectly on a table or countertop, even on my non-stick pans if needed. I usually use the brush to give the dishes a rough clean before putting them in the dishwasher and washing the brush. in the dishwasher with every wash cycle. I use these sponges to clean countertops or to hand wash items that cannot be washed in the dishwasher. From time to time I put these sponges in the dishwasher and they come out nice and clean, each time a little more stretchy and porous. But it certainly increases their lifespan, and when it's time to toss them, it's nice to know that my sponges are safely composted and I've done my part of the click better for nature to absorb them.
