I've tried many types/models but I'm still sticking with this one for a couple of very important reasons (I've listed them in the Pros section below). I confess that these reasons are vital to me and the way I use this device. I'm a high school social sciences teacher who uses this not only to navigate slides/screens in presentations, but also in alternate mode. Use Energizer's best AAA batteries.) * The left/right navigation is very easy to use and they are located left/ to the right of the pointer button. * Mode switch - I can use it to switch from presentation mode to keyboard mode quickly and easily, so to speak; That means I can instantly move a switch and then use the on-screen cursor to scroll up/down a page of a website, close a tab or browser, open a tab or browser, press Enter (or any other button for that matter). , and more . This saves me from having to return to my desktop to do anything.* Memory department. for a USB key that plugs into a USB port so it can be controlled remotely. * Good grip - the bottom and sides are light gray, which are also not flat; They tend to have a more jagged or wavy texture to allow the holder to hold well and not dangle this thing in your hand. * The remote control function works in the whole room (I don't know if this works in a large ballroom or an auditorium size hall.) * Mostly plug and play.
