Review on 💧 Ultimate NU Aqua Platinum High-Capacity by Jennifer Manning

I am very pleased with this 100 gallon per day, 5 stage reverse osmosis water filtration system. It was the best price of any other comparable branded system on Revain. I compared filtered water to tap water and noticed a huge difference in smell and taste. My filtered water is completely odorless and tastes fresh and clean. I have to agree, it really does taste better than bottled water. The main thing is that my wife likes it and she agrees that we no longer have to buy mineral water. With the amount of water we had to buy for drinking, making coffee, etc., this system easily paid for itself in 3-4 months. Installation was easy. They send a big step by step installation book with lots of photos (yes yes yes yes) and installation videos. Using the included Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) meter, my tap water reading is 444 ppm. Now my filtered water is an amazing 29 ppm. It's not a typo, 29 ppm. Wow! I'm buying extra hoses, a tee and a valve to connect my fridge to a new filtration system. I melted a can of my old ice that had been filtered through a small existing fridge cartridge filter and got a reading of 452 PPM, TDS. The first batch of newly filtered ice contained 218 ppm. I was expecting it to be closer to 29 PPM, but I suspect it must be due to filtered water going through my old fridge cartridge filter. After replacing the fridge's filter cartridge, my new melted ice cream is 44 PPM, which is now noticeable by the transparency of the ice cream (see image). Before purchasing, I checked the cost of replacement filter cartridges and the low cost was another factor that made me choose this product over other brands. By the way, my product package includes a free coupon for the 1st set of replacement filters after completing a survey of about 5 questions, but you must use the system for 15 days before you can take the survey. One thing I really wish is that the metal bracket of the filter housings would be factory drilled so I can reverse the filter housing assembly. This would allow me to install it with the first stage transparent filter housing up front (see image). Since waste bins are usually mounted under the right-hand sink, it could easily be adjusted to fit the left-hand side by flipping the bracket over, which would give the 1st stage transparent housing a good view (small thing).
