I sweat during my workout - seriously. I thought I ruined a pair of expensive leggings because I didn't wash them right after a workout. The smell didn't go away with regular laundry detergent, not even Rockin' Green which I used. Leggings lay in a separate box for several months, and I thought there was no hope. This cleaner saved her! The smell is completely gone! The smell is of course there, but not overwhelming imo. I highly recommend!
