I asked professional photographers to recommend the best camera holster. Hands down is one. I use it everywhere I go with my camera, whether hiking or in the city. It is incredibly easy to hang and remove your camera from this strap. It just feels very safe. I use a locking mechanism just to be 100% safe. I rested when walking in the forest, in the city and going out for astrophotography at night. The spider holster is my salvation. You barely feel it on your thigh and it protects your clothes from the camera movement chafing your leg. . After using a digital SLR camera, even with a small lens attached to my neck strap, I experienced severe neck pain. Any kind of telephoto lens and I'd have to hold the camera in my hands. When using a holster, you hardly feel it on your thigh. If you walk around with your camera a lot and the neck strap annoys you, this is by far the best investment you can make. I also have a mirrorless camera that I plan to use with this system. Now my only problem is choosing the next accessory.
