The lid on a laptop can be difficult if you are not disciplined enough to simply move the lid towards the screen (monitor). when the camera is in use instead of putting it on the table and it can easily get dirty or worse, lost. However I would invest in a metal rail for my laptop as I use the camera a lot which works much less with this type of cover. I love this product!
