They are the same as the black ones you can buy anywhere, but they are blue. They clamp very tightly and we use them to secure large and heavy bags such as kitty litter, 25 pound bags of flour, rice, beans etc. The middle clip requires more than 7 kg of force to open, and the small clip - about 5 kg. This is quite a large clamping force, so they are not intended for delicate use. Several clips had black spots and two had some dirt in the hex nut cutout. I've attached photos of all these clips - not really an issue, I guess I wouldn't notice with the black versions of these clips so it might be typical. All in all, these are great clips that have many uses. . I use them as general purpose heavy duty clamps and find them to be as good as the competition.
