My order came with a wand, 2 medium hair ties and a travel case. It took a few splints to allow the hair to wrap around the shaft nicely. Once I got the hang of it, it was very easy. Watching YouTube videos online has been helpful and some reviewers have provided helpful tips. I also used bobby pins to secure my hair at the top of my head, which helped keep my hair in place as I walked around. The material is very soft and plush. I would like the wand to come in different sizes, one for long hair and one for short hair. There was a bit of an extra stem that dangled so I just wrapped it around my head or could tie it like a ponytail. Not a deal breaker for me. My hair got a little wavy, not as noticeable as in the YouTube video, but as a disclaimer, my hair doesn't hold curls well so it gets tangled even with a regular heating iron. If you have time to use it and let it air dry, you will save a lot of time. I haven't tried sleeping with the pole. Overall the quality was very good, easy to apply and my hair had a slight wave.
