Review on ⛳ Enhance Your Golf Game with the Garmin Approach S10 Lightweight GPS Golf Watch in Granite Blue by David Fields

I had another brand of GPS watch that died after many years of service so I'm used to things like that. All GPS golf watch reviews said they get garmen (unlike my old brand) so I bought the S10. The S10 has all the features I need. I don't need to score from hole to hole and/or download the scorecard on Garmen, the Garmen app, or watch my buddies perform. If anyone wants to do something similar, the new WHS GHIN app is the place to go. Therefore I did not test these functions. Pros: * Setting up "Settings" is easy * Updating courses/software was easy and straightforward when using Garmen Express AFTER you figured out how to get and use Garmen Express. That's not in the instructions. * Fairly accurate - distances compared to a range finder. * Large readable screen even with polarized sunglasses * Hour portion of clock is nice and readable * Battery is about 1/2 depleted after 1 round of 18 holes. Cons: * Instructions do not indicate how to update course/software clock. Only mentions Garmen Express. You need to search the web for these instructions. And even after that, when the course/software is downloaded, you have to understand that to actually update, you have to activate "Update" on the watch. Even these instructions were vague in the web instructions. * PC charging has a "charging" icon and shows 100% charge. No charging icon or 100% charge indicator when using an outlet. To fix this, the software needs to be updated. it's not progressing. To fix this, the software needs to be updated. You have to fiddle with the buttons to change the hole number manually. * There is no icon on the golf hole screen to show how much battery you have left. This should be added to the screen via a software update. In general it is better than "OK" GPS. With software updates and better instructions, this could be a 5 star GPS.
