Good with modifications.

I bought these to fix a pro controller drift I've had for a while. I removed the old joystick and installed the new one. When I looked at it, it didn't have full range of motion. So I went and desoldered and resoldered it to make sure everything was ok. Checked again and it still didn't have full range of motion, even after several attempts to calibrate the controller. After some troubleshooting I realized I needed to enlarge the hole where the joystick goes through the top of the controller by about 1mm. The new joystick required a larger whole to achieve full freedom of movement. It's not a big deal, but it's something you should be prepared for if you plan on undertaking this project yourself. Maybe my controller was a little different, but the old joystick worked fine until the drift started. Can't comment on durability since I just replaced it, but with the Nintendo OEM design, the bar isn't set too high. All in all it made a useless controller useful again so I'm happy and would recommend it to anyone with basic soldering skills.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
