Description of ๐ŸŽฎ Enhance Your Gaming Experience with ElecGear 8X ALPS 2.1K Replacement Trimmer Potentiometer for PS5 DualSense and PS4 DualShock 4 Controllers

[ALPS 2.1Kฮฉ Potentiometer] โ€“ The OEM trim pot resistor was made by ALPS. It fits ALPS analog joysticks. This trimmer potentiometer works with PS5 DualSense and some PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 wireless controllers with 2.1K ohm ALPS thumbstick module inside. [Compatibility] โ€“ ALPS sensors come in two different resistance values. Make sure the value is around 2.1K before ordering. Never judge its value by its color. (Be noticed: Choose 10Kฮฉ version for most PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Elite Series 1 and 2, Xbox Series S|X and Switch Pro controllers. ALPS version is not interchangeable with the orange version made by FU.). [Additional Resistor] โ€“ Complicated moving mechanism and daily wear and tear finally caused drifting. Even new sensors cannot be 100% balanced. Calibrating in controller settings might not work. We packed 10x correction resistors to solve the potential problem in hardware level. Solder one or two paralleled tiny resistors onto the potentiometer at the opposite direction against drifting. It will help correct 3 to 5 degrees drifting. [For most joystick problem] โ€“ The potentiometer sensor needs to be replaced when the controller has the problem of creeping, stuttering, a blind spot, a dead spot, a dead zone, or it wouldn't center after years of wear and tear. De-soldering the unit with only 3Pins will be a lot easier than replacing the entire joystick with as many as 14 prongs. [Reminder of Replacement] โ€“ Use a pair of pliers to separate the problem sensor off the joystick module. Try to replace the wiper first, see if it works. De-solder the sensor off the PCB. A metal pick helps to clear the holes. Soldering the new unit in is a breeze. Remember to calibrate the new control sticks in settings

Get it for the best way to fix Xbox One controller joysticks.

This is by far the easiest way to fix a drifting Xbox One joystick. There are several tutorial videos online showing how to open the controller and get to these sensors. No soldering required, disconnect sensor from joystick, pull out old one and insert new one. Two of these are required per joystick (x- and y-axis have one each). There are enough 4 joysticks in this set. Some reviews say their spares are still drifting but I figured there would be at least a few good ones out of 10 in the kit.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak

Good with modifications.

I bought these to fix a pro controller drift I've had for a while. I removed the old joystick and installed the new one. When I looked at it, it didn't have full range of motion. So I went and desoldered and resoldered it to make sure everything was ok. Checked again and it still didn't have full range of motion, even after several attempts to calibrate the controller. After some troubleshooting I realized I needed to enlarge the hole where the joystick goes through the top of the controller by

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

It appears to be the original analog stick

. I bought this set of analog sticks to replace the old one that was drifting a bit, for the original Xbox One controller. The first one I put in stopped working like drifting, but one side was much more sensitive than the other. This was my very first attempt at soldering so I'm thinking it may not have been completely soldered to the board and if you look at how the joystick caps fit on the analog sticks they need to be perfectly aligned or they won't work properly. I removed the covers andโ€ฆ
