Only a good option if you miswired the junction box.
I like the fan but the fact that you HAVE to use the remote is disappointing. I paid for a special fan/light switch. It's all in vain, now I have a dead switch and another switch that is useless because you have to control it from the remote. IF I wasn't forced to use the remote I would give an early rating of 4 or 5. If you have the correct wiring I would give it a 1.
