Ahhhhh, the awfully long handle of the Doom Shovel. Here is my dog's enemy, tormentor and sworn enemy. It's the most terrifying creature ever seen until Thor's terrified Wonder Muffin. For some reason he has a morbid fear of all things with handles - brooms, cornices on the floor in closets, floor steamers, wrapping paper - a complete nervous breakdown. Thor hates this guy. It's a shame, because this shovel is almost indestructible and is constantly in use in our garage and in the warehouse. He shovels screws, wood chips, leaves, whatever, and that goes for everything. Best of all is the simple fact that it sits firmly on the floor so I don't waste an extra 5 minutes to finally get rid of that pesky line of dirt that never fits in the bin. He fell down the stairs (oh, Thor lay under the dining room table forever after that weird attack), stood in the garage in sub-zero temperatures, and was used most of the time as a dustpan, which is something you only dream of. It works, no cracks or chips. And this year we burned over 4 cheap dollar spoons. Sometimes you get what you pay for!
