For years I have always bought skirts for 14/15 inch pull down beds. Imagine my surprise when I bought this size for my new bed. I realized that manufacturers are now making foundations of different heights. This 18 inch clamshell skirt is perfect: it lays down on the carpet in just the right place. Whichever skirt you choose, first measure from the top of the feather block to the floor to get the correct length. A standard design bed skirt with a full patch of fabric covering the base, I always have an issue with the bed skirt shifting on me (no matter what skirt they all make). To keep it in place when I put my mattress on it in the right position, I use safety pins in several places to secure it in place. This bed bumper washes fine, but needs to be ironed or dried It has a thin stripe and drapes well. My only complaint is that the camel shade is a few shades darker than the one pictured.
