Review on Wall Mounted Enclosure Color Control by Paul Milonas

This enclosure is designed for surface mounting a digital multifunctional control panel controlling Victron Multiplus inverters/chargers. He's great for that. HOWEVER: Victron manufactures two products that appear to be (but are not) identical, with very similar looks and product names. For this box to work, the control panel MUST be ordered with Victron model number DMC000200010R. At the time of writing this article, it is the cheapest of the two similar models. The panel model compatible with this device has a right angle RJ45 connector on the back (cables connected parallel to the board) and is supplied with the required metal frame. The other, more expensive model of panel has an RJ45 connector that plugs directly into the back of the circuit board, making it too deep to fit in a box. First I bought the wrong model and had to send it back for that reason.
