Update: 29.11. The last couple of days the timer has been going off normally but I had to turn it on with the remote in the morning and now it won't turn on at all so I was left with my tank with no working light. Update: 18.7. A new replacement was shipped earlier in the week and the only issue I've had is the timer lighting up a bit. before every day. When I first set it up it was at 9:00 but at the end of the week it turns on at 8:30. It's fine as long as remote access works and I can reset it if it's too early. That being said, this company's customer support is very responsive and they really seem to want to get things right as soon as possible, so that's to be commended. Update: 7/6 The replacement device is no longer working. I can't turn the light on at all so that's a big disappointment. To be honest I can't believe 2 lights broke in such a short time. updated: 26.06. The company contacted me and after a few messages back and forth they decided to send me a new light that just went on sale. Post today, so far so good. I've had this light a little over a month and the timer function stopped working a few days ago and I had to use the remote to turn the light off. Now the remote control cannot turn off the device. I changed the battery and the light on the remote comes on when I press the buttons, but it no longer communicates with the instrument, so that's not good.
