I usually wear 12/14 pants, my waist is 33 inches and I bought the large ones. If they had a little elastic, they would fit perfectly. However, they are a bit loose and sit a little lower than I would like and will loosen even more as the day progresses. It's not that bad, maybe try medium next time. Recommended due to the quality of the material and seams. I will buy more!
