I think some people are confused about how to unscrew the doorstop and for those people the seller is providing installation instructions right here in the photos in the ad. But it is enough just to unscrew the metal cover. The magnet is very strong. If you align the doorstop during assembly so that it sits directly on the metal pot, the magnet will hold very firmly. You may need to put a few layers of tape on the magnet to keep it from becoming too tight. Alternatively, you can mount the two parts slightly offset from each other so that the magnet does not hit the latch directly; This will prevent it from grabbing so tightly.
