Review on Conquer the Trails with Topo Athletic Mens Trailventure Black: Superior Performance and Style by Jeremy Levendusky

Terribly uncomfortable in the ankle area.

I bought a pair of TOPO running shoes last year and love them so much I was willing to love their hiking shoes too. After the first three steps I had to take them off. The ridge above my ankle is so hard that it hurts when I step forward. As my ankle bent to take another step, a hard edge sliced painfully into my bone. I was both very disappointed and very surprised and they will be ready to return when UPS gets here. I ended up going to the local sporting goods store and buying a pair of Keen walking shoes and proving to myself that there are no personal substitutes.

Pros
  • Provides ample arch support for superior comfort during extended wear.
Cons
  • The materials do not let air through and cause excessive sweating.
