These boots were soft and comfortable right from the start, and I didn't have any painful chafing or blistering the first time I put them on. They've held up well for over a year, surviving multiple bumpy trails, multiple creeks, lots of mud, and many miles of tarmac. As mentioned, the boots have a large toe box that's perfect for those of us with wide feet. I would happily buy them again.

I bought a pair of TOPO running shoes last year and love them so much I was willing to love their hiking shoes too. After the first three steps I had to take them off. The ridge above my ankle is so hard that it hurts when I step forward. As my ankle bent to take another step, a hard edge sliced painfully into my bone. I have very wide feet and Morton's neuroma in one foot. I walk a lot and have been for months. I have walked to Wagons, Keens, Altras and always had pain in my legs. I decided to try them out on my John Muir Trail hike last summer. I had NO pain in my legs! Very comfortable mid-range hiking shoe. They all lasted 235 miles (including a small portion of the PKT). Highly recommended for hiking!

Not durable at all! The outsole separates from the upper, is not waterproof and the rubberized fabric tears in the toe area. A little over 30 days on them. Not impressed.

These are the best hiking shoes I've ever used. It combines the good qualities of Altra, Keen and Hoka in one shoe. It has a broad top like Altra and Keen and a pillow like Hoka. Has a drop of 5 mm, is light and very comfortable. I like Altras a lot, but not 0 drops. Also, I feel too many stones on the ground. Topo solves these problems. Brilliantly designed.

i really love it They're as comfortable as my Ultraventures, but unlike most other topos, they're actually nice shoes, and I think that's the only downside to the brand. Comfortable wide-toe shoes to avoid blisters. It is wonderful.

These shoes/boots are extremely comfortable and the wide toe box prevents chafing and blistering of the toes. The only problem is that I wear a size 12 in every shoe I've ever bought and they in turn are too big for a 12. They are half a size larger than a full size.

I love the fit and the shape of my foot. Hiking with my TOPOs regenerates my legs quickly. When it's wet there is no friction factor and in hot weather my feet don't swell thanks to the shoe's wide box and profile.

I almost bought another brand because topos are a bit ugly. Light weight is not made for rough rocky climbs.

The first day I put them on they started falling apart. I took them on a trip so I had to carry them. They're comfortable and fit well, but wearing shoes that are falling apart is pretty awkward. Wouldn't recommend it.

I need a wide foot shaping shoe with a hard sole to indulge my arthritic big toe and this shoe has that quality. I see Nike released a hard sole so this could be a trendsetter. I'm sure they're great for non-arthritis feet too!

Almost straight out of the box into a 41 mile 5 day backpack and worked great. While other people's boots fell apart, they held together perfectly.

My boyfriend is very happy with these shoes. I have the women's low top version. I will only buy this brand from now on. Comfort is second to none.

Fits well. The sock is good, the sole is very good, but for me the height was a little less. Something bothered me and I sent them back. Overall the show is good though.

I returned them because I no longer buy Chinese goods (where possible) due to ongoing government human rights abuses (including genocide and forced labor/re-education camps, intellectual property theft, etc. etc.). Fair enough about the rating of the shoe itself, I give it 4 stars. It fits well and appears to be a good product. I've read in several other reviews that the durability isn't great, hence only 4 stars. If Topo ever stops making products in China, I would like to reconsider.

I love these shoes/boots because not only are they waterproof but they also have a wide toe box. It also has ample arch support. I actually had to change the laces because they kept coming undone. I would recommend it to others. Size 11.5 fits perfectly.

I was very excited to receive these boots. I tried them on and felt like I was trying on a pair of Gene Simmons boots. The bottom of these boots appeared to be twice the size of any other boot I have tried on. I wanted to endure this craziness but started running and the horrible heel slip was too much for me to walk in. I kept them for a total of 4 minutes, put them back in the box and sent them back the next day. Personally, I was very disappointed in them.

They allow you to use your toes when walking, which helps in dissipating heat. In my experience, waterproof also means windproof - so also warm. Ankles stay warm. Great grip - and the black looks decent in these pieces (I'm a female but bought the men's for the color).

The shoe felt good for my foot. However, the color is completely gone. The photo is grey, the boots came in black. I would buy burgundy but buyer's photo shows it's bright red? I want this company to make an effort to ensure their advertising is accurate.
