I'm using these on a 2015 Chevy Impala that doesn't have room for regular chains. I reckon I can get close to 150 miles total with them. When I first used them they seemed to wear down significantly after just a few miles and I didn't expect them to last long. Since then they don't seem to be worn at all. I was very careful to minimize stress on bare tarmac, gravel, etc. I don't think they offer the same traction as chains on packed snow, but they definitely increase traction. They are much easier to work with than chains and the ride is much smoother and quieter. It took me several installs to find a good technique. Expect your hands to get dirty. I roll up my shirt sleeves and put on an old coat that I keep in the trunk. Practice before you need them. Removal is easy. Pull off the elastic at the top, then use the straps to take it off. Lightweight, easy to use and comfortable to grip in a flat shape. Not a perfect solution, but AutoSock really surprised me.
