I bought an htis refractometer a while ago to grow Artemia for my aquariums, but only recently have Artemia. So I finally tried this brand new refractometer in the box but it doesn't work. I've used refractometers in the past, but this must be defective. It doesn't show blue, which is difficult to understand because the field where the water drops settle (daylight panel) is dark blue, so I don't know why the lens doesn't see it. It must be defective. Unfortunately, I'm way behind on the returns window and even product support. Although this ad says the warranty is one year, I found from an order on Amazon that product support ends a month after purchase. I had to try it out as soon as it came in the mail. There is no company name on the box or on the instrument, except that the refractometer has a sticker that says ATC. Is this a company? I am about to buy another refractometer and am trying to avoid this company. Update I have a new refractometer that works great, this is the old one my son no longer needs for his live corals and it works great. I can't believe I only spent about twenty bucks on the junk upstairs. Many of the companies that Amazon has as third party vendors can't be found if something goes wrong.
