I used to use old school kitchen thermometers thinking they were tried and tested but they were inaccurate, fogged up etc and definitely not worth the money. I wasn't sure about the new digital ones because they actually cost less so I figured the quality wouldn't be there. I WAS WRONG! They're quick and easy to use, uncomplicated with multi-function buttons, and fairly durable. The probe is thin but strong and easily penetrates thick joints of roast. They're pretty accurate too, as we haven't had a single dry piece of meat out of our oven since using them. Leftovers remain moist enough to be used for several days. Very easy to clean. Our thermometers take pride of place on our fridge door (thanks to a handy magnet inside), so you don't have to look for them in your bin drawers. The built-in bottle opener feels solid, although we haven't used it yet. My husband and I are in love, this time with our thermometers! Update 6/2/21: Only 6 months have passed and the first thermometer has died. Too bad because it's such a practical and popular thing in our house. So, today we broke the second one. Hope it lasts longer than the first.
