Review on πŸ“€ Progressive Scan DVD Player Toshiba SD-4900 with Enhanced SEO by Darin Marshall

Great job with a big annoyance!

I bought this DVD player to replace an annoying Go Video model that didn't play audio CDs and liked to miss the slightest scratch on a rental DVD. All in all, the Toshiba SD-4900 proves to be a worthy replacement, especially considering the low price! It has worked very well with almost every DVD I have rented, even the slightly scratched ones. It plays audio CDs perfectly and I didn't need a separate CD player component in my stereo. Use it for a while, you'll get used to it, and you don't have to worry. I'm not an audiophile or digital video specialist, so I won't comment on the technical specifications. In fact I have a signal going through a 1986 tuner! Of course this means I'm sacrificing the purity of the digital signal, but I have to say the picture still looks great - it only gets better when you use quality, modern hardware to power this player. a big problem? If I got interrupted on my old DVD player and stopped playing the DVD, I could come back later and pick up where I left off until I ejected the disc. Not so with this model. If you don't pause the disc (which is not recommended for a long period of time), the DVD player will turn off automatically after a few minutes. and it loses its place in the movie even if the disc was never ejected. It's very annoying when you get interrupted at least once or twice. Overall, however, I recommend this model for its superior performance for the price.
