Review on πŸ’ͺ AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 Black Edition: 6-Core Processor with Unparalleled Performance by Dimitar Mitev ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing for the money, Im glad I chose this option.

The performance of the processor was deemed satisfactory (8 cores after all:). Everything works great on the default settings, and the temperature never goes higher than fifty degrees (this was not determined with the assistance of AIDA, which is unable to correctly load modules / cores of FX-owls; rather, it was determined with the assistance of OCCT Linpak, AVX, and 90% of the memory). During the process of overclocking, the picture shifts; already at 4GHz @ 1.3125V, the temperature hits 70 degrees; farther on. I like working with RAM; the Kingston HyperX Red 2x4Gb 1600MHz CL9 kit I purchased accelerates to a frequency of approximately 2250MHz and has timings of 11-11-11-29. In games, there is sufficient performance; in the same tanks, I have an average of sixty frames per second (vertical sync turned on). There are drawdowns of up to thirty-five to forty frames per second, but they only occur very seldom. Those gamers for whom the difference in frame rate between 5 and 10 frames per second in games is crucial have my deepest sympathies since they will have to overpay for a CPU that ranges from 3 to 16 cores. It is only a stylish processor, but it has a decent foundation for the future, which is important since new consoles will have 8 cores from AMD on board, which means that new games will be tuned for 8 cores, and the future of software is also in multithreading. The price is less than five dollars, and it is less than five dollars. Regarding the temps, I have a sneaking suspicion that the problem is with my cooler (maybe the heat pipe is damaged or there is another issue). My config: ASUS SABERTOOTH R2.0 is the motherboard, and FX-8320 is the processor. RAM is comprised of 2x4GB of Kingston HyperX Red. GladiacTech Alaska is the Cooler Option. 2x120mm GPU: Radeon 6930 1Gb

Pros
  • Price for a core pack of 8 (A couple of months ago, I purchased it for the absurd price of 4490r!)
Cons
  • 125 W, there is heating of both the processor and the power circuit of the motherboard (this heating is particularly visible while overclocking).
